The Emotional Rollercoaster in eLearning

Just a quick thought – will probably try to develop it on the Articulate forum later on.

Any great play or book takes the audience on an emotional journey rather than just a story. I once developed the concept in an “Emotigraph for Learning” but did not really follow it up much. How many people use this when creating eLearning.

Who looks at e.g. creating fear in a piece of sales training, (fear of not hitting targets and getting fired, rather than just stating that this technique/learning “…will help you hit your targets” etc?) How many emotions can be targetted when training, what’s the best way? Do you target one and then have a resolution? Not sure but I am sure that it’s something I have not seen mentioned much in the standard literature.

More thoughts to come I’m sure.
